By using this website and placing an order with Tea & Whimsey, you agree to the terms below.
Orders
All orders are subject to acceptance and availability. Tea & Whimsey reserves the right to limit quantities, refuse an order, or cancel an order if product availability, pricing, shipping restrictions, or other order issues require adjustment.
Product availability
In the event that a product is unavailable, you will not be charged for the out-of-stock item. If cancellation is not authorized, the product will be shipped once it becomes available.
Back orders will ship as items arrive in stock. If you do not wish to receive a back-ordered item, you must contact Tea & Whimsey to cancel it before shipment. If a back order is not canceled before shipment, Tea & Whimsey is not responsible for freight on returned back orders.
Shipping restrictions
Some tea products are subject to Maryland cottage food restrictions and cannot be shipped outside Maryland. Tea & Whimsey's packaged loose-leaf teas prepared under Maryland cottage food rules must be shipped only to Maryland addresses, while commercially produced tea products such as Oliver Pluff items are nationally shippable.
Shipping carriers and timing
Tea & Whimsey uses USPS and UPS for shipping. If products are in stock, standard delivery time is 3-4 days from the date the order is received, and customers will be notified by email or phone if processing takes longer because of merchandise availability.
Returns and cancellations
Returns and cancellations are governed by Tea & Whimsey's separate policy pages. Orders already shipped may not be canceled, and returns may be subject to product-specific restrictions, including limits on tea returns.
Product information
Tea & Whimsey makes reasonable efforts to describe products accurately, but colors, handcrafted details, motif placement, and similar visual characteristics may vary slightly, especially for handmade teaware. Product availability and catalog details may change without notice.
